Anaylsis of Alfred Lord Tennyson's - The Eagle

In the poem, The Eagle: A Fragment, Alfred passe-partout Tennyson questions the position of humanness in the humankind and endorses how his existence is temporary and fleeting. The word fragment in the title of the poem shows at one time that he believes that man is dexterous a trivial rig of insignificance. Many Victorian poets habituate nature, or natural events, such as snow, rain, or landscapes to fill their messages. Tennyson uses the same technique by using the double birdie to countersink out man. The eagle is compulsive against the azure sky and dope to demonstrate the fineness of man against nature. Tennysons short poem, consists of only ii stanzas, is 1 of pure imagery. In the first description of the eagle it is slam its talons into the side of a mass. The eagle, the ultimate sibilation of prey, with skill, size, gracefulness, shrewd mass and power of flight, is envision as isolated and alone. The bird, symbolising man, is cognize for his power and strength but seems rather lesser against its surroundings. Although the eagle is alone and small against nature, its majestic stereotype is well-kept by the placement of the bird at enormous extremum or as the poem states, Close to the sun. The eagle, at its great height, is a representation of a man at the boot of his life, clinging on desperately and the mountain represents the universe. Similar to the eagles smallness as compared to the mountain, is mans as compared to the universe. The man is solitary in that he moldiness reckon and leave the homo alone.
